The Help still topping box office
The Help has managed to be the longest topping movie this year, the only one to manage three weeks in a row since Inception. Not bad for a socially conscious movie about civil rights! The movie, that stars Emma Stone managed to stay ahead of The Debt and Apollo 18 with $18 million.
In second place, Helen Mirren shoots her way through as a celebrated former Mossad agent with a complicated past in The Debt came in at $12.5 million. In third, Blair Witch Project on the moon aka Apollo 18, producer Timur Bekmambetov's sci-fi thriller about a secret US mission to the moon back in the seventies that goes horribly, horribly wrong scraped together a fairly decent $10.6 million. In fourth place Shark Night 3 D doing pretty much what it says on the box at $10.5 million and at number five that rather dull and and disappointing Rise of the planet of the apes still making $9.9 million.
