The film marks the theatrical debut of DreamWorks Animation's Ultimate 3-D, the studio's proprietary production process of authoring its animated films in 3-D from start to finish. When California girl Susan Murphy is unexpectedly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall and is instantly labeled a "monster" named Ginormica. The military jumps into action, and she is captured and held in a secret government compound. The world learns that the military has been quietly rounding up other monsters over the years. This ragtag group consists of the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link; the gelatinous and indestructible B.O.B.; and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus. Their confinement time is cut short however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country. As a last resort, under the guidance of General W.R. Monger (on a desperate order from The President), the motley crew of Monsters is called into action to combat the aliens and save the world from imminent destruction.

"Observe and Report" centers around Ronnie Barnhardt (Rogen), a deluded, self-important head of mall security who squares off in a turf war against local cops. Faris plays a salesgirl at the mall whom Ronnie lusts after, while Pena is Ronnie's right-hand man at mall security. Liotta acts as Ronnie's nemesis, a police detective. Plemons plays another guard under Ronnie's purview.

Lifelong platonic friends Zack (Rogen) and Miri (Banks) look to solve their respective cashflow problems by making an adult film together. As the cameras roll, however, the duo begin to sense that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought.

Lazy stoner Dale Denton has only one reason to visit his equally lazy dealer Saul Silver: to purchase weed, specifically, a rare new strain called Pineapple Express. But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop and the city's most dangerous drug lord, he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene. Dale now has another reason to visit Saul: to find out if the weed is so rare that it can be traced back to him. And it is. As Dale and Saul run for their lives, they quickly discover that they're not suffering from weed-fueled paranoia; incredibly, the bad guys really are hot on their trail and trying to figure out the fastest way to kill them both. Two spoiled adult men (Ferrell and Reilly) are pulled into a new sibling rivalry after their respective single parents get hitched. The formula didn't work for The Brothers Solomon last fall, but Will Arnett + Will Forte ≠ John C. Reilly, never mind the still-remarkably-popular Will Ferrell, who wrote this screenplay with director Adam McKay, he of Anchorman and Talladega Nights fame. Not much is known about the project at this time save what you can glean from the first trailer, but we're happy to see that Ferrell and McKay are stepping out of their comfort zone a bit -- that being their penchant for stretching a character sketch into a feature film.

Horton the Elephant struggles to protect a microscopic community from his neighbors who refuse to believe it exists.
One day, Horton the elephant hears a cry from help coming from a speck of dust. Even though he can\'t see anyone on the speck, he decides to help it. As it turns out, the speck of dust is home to the Whos, who live in their city of Whoville. Horton agrees to help protect the Whos and their home, but this gives him nothing but torment from his neighbors, who refuse to believe that anything could survive on the speck. In the jungle of Nool, the elephant Horton hears a voice in a speck; he uses a clover to rescue the speck of dust and he makes contact with the Mayor of Whoville. Horton discovers that in that tiny speck there is a city crowded with creatures and he decides to leave Whoville in a safe place. However, the evil Kangaroo does not believe Horton\'s story and thinks he\'s dangerous for the children of Nool, making them believe in what they can not see, hear or feel, and incites the animals against Horton.
